This Bites

The August 7 edition of Entertainment Weekly contains an article which purports to proclaim the "20 greatest vampires of all time." However, with the glaring omission of the all-time greatest made-for-television vampire of all time. Dark Shadows's Barnabas Collins, Entertainment Weekly has committed a major sin.

Even after more than 40 years since it first hit daytime television, Dark Shadows and Barnabas have stood the test of time. Want proof? Well, check this out: none other than Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are planning to remake the venerable gothic soap next year as a feature film, with Depp assuming the iconic role of our reluctant vampire Barnabas.

No Barnabas??? EW... why not just drive a stake through my heart -- it would hurt less.
